Result status

IBPS published the Prelims result on 15 October 2026. Results are personal: each candidate logs in on ibps.in to see their own status and scores. ITOfficerPrep never asks for your registration number or password.

Cut-off in each test

IBPS prints two columns: one for SC, ST, OBC (non-creamy layer) and PwBD, one for EWS and General. What each test covers: IBPS SO IT Officer exam pattern.

IBPS uses one table layout for every SO post, so it prints the third test as “General Awareness with Special Reference to Banking Industry/ Quantitative Aptitude”. IT Officer candidates take Quantitative Aptitude.

Official process

How IBPS applied them

  • The number of questions answered correctly in each objective test is used to arrive at the corrected score, after the penalty for wrong answers.
  • Final scores in each test are rounded off up to two digits after the decimal point.
  • Cut-offs were applied in two stages: on the scores in individual tests, then on the total score, wherever necessary.

The penalty is one-fourth of the question's marks: −0.25 in English, Reasoning and Quant, and −0.50 in Professional Knowledge (worked out from the 2-mark PK questions).

Next stage

Mains cut-off

Not published yet: the Mains is expected on 1 November 2026. You need a minimum score in each Mains test and a sufficiently high Professional Knowledge score to be shortlisted for interview. Only the Mains marks count for shortlisting for interviews and for the final merit list; the Prelims scores above do not carry forward.

What is the IBPS SO IT Officer Prelims cut-off 2026?

Out of 125: Gen 75.50, OBC-NCL 74.50, EWS 70.75, SC 67.25, ST 56.50. For PwBD candidates: HI 33.25, OC 36.25, VI 37.75, ID 44.00. These are the official cut-offs on the total score for IT Officer (Scale-I), CRP SPL-XVI, listed on ibps.in on 22 October 2026.

Where do I check the IBPS SO IT Officer Prelims result 2026?

On ibps.in, by logging in: IBPS lists "Result Status" and "Scores" logins for the Online Preliminary Examination on its CRP SPL-XVI page, from 15 October 2026. Each candidate sees only their own result; the links are in the Result section of this page.

What are the sectional cut-offs?

English Language 12.50 (EWS/General) and 9.75 (SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/PwBD) out of 25; Reasoning 6.75 (EWS/General) and 3.50 (SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/PwBD) out of 25; Quantitative Aptitude 8.75 (EWS/General) and 5.75 (SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/PwBD) out of 25; Professional Knowledge 13.75 (EWS/General) and 9.50 (SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/PwBD) out of 50.

How did IBPS apply the cut-offs?

In two stages: first on the scores in individual tests, then on the total score, wherever necessary. Scores are corrected scores (correct answers, after the penalty for wrong answers), rounded off to two decimals.

Do Prelims scores count in the final merit?

No. IBPS's notice of 22.10.2026 says only the marks obtained in the Online Main Examination are considered for shortlisting for interviews and for the final merit list. The Prelims only decides who sits the Mains.

When will the Mains cut-off 2026 come?

The Mains is expected on 1 November 2026. IBPS has not published a Mains cut-off yet; we add it here from the official document once it does.
